Danaher Motion - Santa Barbara is committed to the manufacture of environmentally friendly products.  We are accomplishing this, in part, through the elimination of lead and other hazardous substances in our products and improvements in methods and materials used for packaging. This is in compliance with the European Union’s RoHS directive and other international regulations.

Elimination of Banned Substances and Lead-free Compliance

In February of 2003 the European Union released The Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Directive (2002/95/EC) restricting the use of Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium and PBB/PBDE flame retardant materials in electrical and electronic products sold in Europe beginning July 1, 2006.

With our commitment to the elimination of these hazardous substances, Danaher Motion – Santa Barbara is transitioning selected products to RoHS compliance.  Our current RoHS product offerings are shown in the table.

All our RoHS compliant products are form/fit/function interchangeable when used with the latest software release. Be assured that each of these RoHS products has been rigorously tested and re-qualified to ensure continuous, reliable operation.  MEI expects no change in reliability or electrical performance because of the changeover to RoHS compliancy.
